Your Pay is Stuck
As a teacher, we are limited to the pay scale. This means trying to build wealth can be difficult. The best way to build wealth is to make more money. To do this takes time, effort, and resources. The great thing about teaching is you have time. Remember our great schedule! So really all it takes is effort and resources. You make the effort and here is a resource.
Passive > Active
What you do in teaching is active income. This is the income that you work for every day. You go to school, build your lesson plans and help impact students for the better. That's great! Passive income is one which you do some work to get things set up, then allow automation to do the work and take in a constant paycheck without doing much besides some general maintenance. Think about renting a house. You have some work getting a house ready to rent by painting walls and fixing broken doors but once you have it rented you are making constant income each month with little work besides some general maintenance every now and then.
You have the Time
The great thing about our schedule is the time that you can put in the effort to build passive income pathways. Think of the weeks that a teacher has to be able to build these pathways. You have roughly 14 weeks out of the year that you can focus on additional income that might take some effort setting up but will make a lasting impact with little work in the future.
